Illustrated mural for in PHR in-house agency new office space

BUILDING BACKGROUND. When Power’s CEO envisioned the total redesign of a new floor representing the in house creative agency, he had a very specific idea in mind for the 50ft wall, that would become the mural. With their initial vision to out-source the mural project, I was inspired to utilize a window of opportunity to propose an evolved concept that would satisfy their goals within the space.

I knew it had to really mean something to our team of creatives and it would truly only mean something if it was designed by us for us. As you can see, it thankfully worked out. I explained that it needed to be personal to the creatives in this space, but at same time welcome any new faces who came across it. It needed to speak to who were and who we were becoming. I worked with our senior copywriter to gather ideas and thoughts from our peers to determine how to authentically express US. We considered what we do, how we do it, what we strive for, how we felt and what words or ideas felt personal, but inspiring and even funny, to our team.

After many meetings and speaking with everyone who would be occupying the space, I began honing in on the details so when ever one would look at this wall, they could find some new little detail they didn’t see the day before. Creating each new badge was exciting because it represented someone in the room who would get a chance to feel like they were a piece of something larger. For the cherry on top, I was able to partner with Super Signs, a female owned Sign Painting Shop, which gave it that hand crafted feel and extra one of a kind feeling we were looking for. Beyond grateful for this opportunity.
